All girls born in 2010 and 2011 are welcome to try out.

    Sarah Nurse heard it more than once. She got used to the questions and comments, the snide remarks and smirks that came from the other side of the ice. As a young, black girl playing high-level minor hockey against the boys in Hamilton, Ont., Nurse was no stranger to people questioning her place in the game, and it had nothing to do with her skill set.

    The totals are in, and the three finalists have been unveiled for the Good Deeds Cup.
  • Road to the 2019 Esso Cup: MFMHL
    With the 10-year anniversary of their 2009 Esso Cup championship quickly approaching, the Westman Wildcats returned to the top of the MFMHL in 2018-19. The Wildcats never had a season-defining win streak, but instead put together a number of short runs; they posting at least three victories in a row on five occasions, including a season-high five-game streak from Oct. 20-Nov. 3.
